Here is the latest Mid-America sports news from The Associated Press

CHICAGO (AP) — Fiercely energetic Tim Anderson spiked his bat to celebrate a home run and Kansas City’s Brad Keller responded by drilling him with a fastball, setting off a benches-clearing fracas in the Royals’ 4-3 victory in 10 innings. Anderson tossed his bat toward the White Sox dugout following his two-run drive in the fourth inning. Keller hit him in the buttocks with his first pitch leading off the sixth. The dugouts and bullpens emptied. Anderson and Keller were among the four ejections.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Michael Wacha cooled off NL MVP Christian Yelich, Matt Carpenter and Marcell Ozuna each went deep, and the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-3 to avoid being swept. Yelich came in batting .556 with four home runs and 10 RBIs in this series, but he was 0 for 2 with a strikeout and a walk against Wacha. Yelich did single in a run in the eighth off Andrew Miller.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — A Missouri court has turned down an effort by Rams owner Stan Kroenke and the NFL to send a lawsuit over the team’s relocation from St. Louis to Los Angeles into arbitration. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that a three-judge panel of the Missouri Appeals Court’s Eastern District ruled Tuesday that the Rams can’t force the lawsuit to be ironed out behind closed doors.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — A racetrack near St. Louis that hosts IndyCar, NASCAR and NHRA events is getting a new name. Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois, will be renamed World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway. Financial terms of the naming rights agreement announced were not disclosed. The company also says the track will be a proving ground for technology innovations aimed at enhancing the fan experience.
