Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. While still warm spread on frosting. Combine in saucepan:
Cook over medium heat until thick. Spread on warm cake.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Police have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a man in a Des Moines city park. Police say they arrested 20-year-old Lee Targblor, of Des Moines, on Wednesday in the Tuesday night death of 31-year-old Paye Blawou, of Des Moines. Targblor was being held in the Polk County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, although that charge could be upgraded. Police say officers were called to Prospect Park around 8 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a shooting and found Blawou critically injured with a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

Police in Creston report three people were arrested on separate charges, Wednesday, with one person arrested twice:
GRINNELL, Iowa (AP) — Police in east-central Iowa have arrested a man after an hourslong standoff in which the man was accused of shooting at officers and setting his farmstead on fire. Television station KCCI reports that the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office was called around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday to a home about four miles southeast of Grinnell. Sheriff’s officials say they made contact with 49-year-old Dwaine Anthony Bauman, who became aggressive and fired a gun several times.
Authorities say he set fire to his home, two vehicles, a barn and almost 100 bales of hay. All were destroyed. Bauman was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. and charged him with three counts of second-degree arson and intimidation with a dangerous weapon.

Former four-star offensive lineman Ezra Miller on Wednesday announced he will be transferring from Iowa to Nebraska.
The former Ridge View High School star from Holstein decided to leave the Iowa program in January. At the time, the 6-foot-6, 310 pound Miller said his decision was because of a back injury that he claimed would force him to retire from football. In May, Miller announced that he was suffering from depression.
Miller will walk-on to the Nebraska program. He will need to sit out the 2020 season unless he can get a waiver from the NCAA to be eligible immediately.
Ben McGilmer of the University of Iowa Men’s Basketball “Six Pack” has passed away at the age of 74. McGilmer and his teammates won the 1970 Big Ten Championship, winning all 14 Big Ten games.
McGilmer’s academic and athletic career came to an abrupt halt when, after his sophomore year, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. During his military service, he played on the undefeated All Army Basketball team.
After completing his tour with the U. S. Army, McGilmer returned to Iowa City, playing on one of the greatest teams in Iowa basketball history. As a senior, McGilmer averaged 10.3 points per contest on Coach Ralph Miller’s 1970 squad that won 17 of its last 18 games and going undefeated in conference play. That magical team remains the highest scoring team in Big Ten history, averaging a staggering 102.9 points per game in league play. The Hawkeyes topped the century mark 14 times and averaged 98.7 points per game over the course of 25 games.
In addition to averaging 10.3 points per game as a senior, he averaged 13.5 points in 1969 and 10.8 points as a sophomore in 1966.
