ALVIN REINIG, 95, of Harlan, died Sunday, Nov. 22nd, at the Elm Crest Retirement Community. A Private, Mass of Christian Burial for ALVIN REINIG will be held 11-a.m. Friday, Nov. 27th, at St. Mary, Our Lady of Fatima Church in Portsmouth. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Burial is in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Portsmouth.

His Wife – Mildred “Millie” Reinig, of Harlan.

His daughters – Theresa Caffrey, Karen (Jerry) Bexten, and Janet (Jody Ruckman) Reinig, all of Omaha; and Patricia (Paul) Koffron, of Tiffin.

His son – Thomas (Denise) Reinig, of Portsmouth.

His brother – Tony Reinig, of Harlan.

His sister – Cecilia Tunnel, of CA.

13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

JIM BAKERINK, 73, of Fontanelle, died Monday, November 23, 2020, at the V.A. Hospital in Des Moines.  Public Graveside services for JIM BAKERINK will be held 11-a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3rd, at the Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter, with full military rites conducted by the Fontanelle American Legion Carlson Post No. 247. Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle is in charge of the arrangements.

Open Visitation without the family present:  Will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at the Steen Funeral Home in fontanelle from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

Memorials: May be directed to the Jim Bakerink memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.
