The CAM Cougars football team will travel to face the Fremont-Mills Knights on Friday night with a playoff spot on the line and we’ll have the game on KJAN. The Cougars are 6-3 overall and 4-2 in 8-Man District 7. The Knights come in at 6-2 overall and 5-1 in the District. With the next two teams in the standings with 3 district losses this match-up will be a win and get in scenario. The Sidney Cowboys have already locked up the district title with a perfect 8-0 overall record and 6-0 District mark.
We’ll have coverage of the Cougars and Knights on Friday night with a 6:30pm Pregame and 7:00pm Kickoff. Chris Parks and Mike Smith will have the call from Tabor.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Le’Veon Bell ran for 179 yards and a touchdown, Antonio Brown made an acrobatic touchdown catch in the fourth quarter and the Pittsburgh Steelers held on to beat the Kansas City Chiefs 19-13 on Sunday.
The Chiefs (5-1) still had a chance after Brown’s 51-yard reception made it 19-10, moving quickly downfield and getting a 33-yard field goal from Harrison Butker. And when their defense forced a quick three-and-out, Tyreek Hill’s 32-yard punt return gave them the ball with 1:48 to go.
But after the Steelers (4-2) gave up a first down, James Harrison sacked Alex Smith on third-and-10, and the quarterback’s incomplete pass on fourth down left the NFL with no unbeaten teams.
The game in many ways resembled January’s divisional playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium, when Bell churned for 170 yards rushing and the Steelers’ defense shut down the Chiefs in an 18-16 victory.
The Chiefs’ first turnover since their first offensive play of the season came in the first half, when backup center Zach Fulton snapped the ball over Smith’s head for a safety. But the Steelers gave the ball right back when they inexplicably decided not to field the ensuing free kick.
INJURIES: Steelers RT Marcus Gilbert, who had missed three weeks with a hamstring injury, left in the first half after aggravating it. LB Vince Williams left in the second half with a hip injury after picking up a pair of sacks. … Chiefs RB Charcandrick West was evaluated for a concussion.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska has hired Washington State athletic director Bill Moos to head its sports program.
University officials announced the pick on Sunday, less than four weeks after firing AD Shawn Eichorst. Eichorst was let go the day after the Cornhuskers football team lost to Northern Illinois at home. His replacement was named the day after Nebraska was routed in Lincoln by Ohio State.
University chancellor Ronnie Green praised Moos in a statement as a “proven winner.” Green says Moos was picked from a field that included several sitting athletic directors from Power Five conference schools.
Moos has been athletic director at Washington State since 2010. The 66-year-old agreed to a five-year contract with a base annual salary of $1 million, plus incentives. His job at Nebraska will start on Oct. 23.

AMES, Iowa (AP) — David Montgomery ran for a career-high three touchdowns and Iowa State throttled Kansas 45-0 on Saturday for its second straight win. Trever Ryen added a 68-yard punt return for a score for the Cyclones. They held the Jayhawks to a season-low 106 yards and shut out a Big 12 opponent for just the fourth time. Montgomery turned an interception into a 4-yard TD run to open the scoring, and Ryen’s return gave Iowa State a 14-0 lead.
BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) — Marcus Weymiller ran for 170 yards and two touchdowns on 42 carries and Northern Iowa jumped on top early, cruising to a 38-18 win over South Dakota State. The Panthers (3-3, 2-1 Missouri Valley Conference) turned the tables on South Dakota State by scoring 17 first-quarter points.
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — J.T. Barrett passed for five touchdowns and ran for two others, and ninth-ranked Ohio State scored on its first eight possessions on its way to a 56-14 victory over Nebraska. The Buckeyes continued their dominant surge since their loss to Oklahoma last month, tying their school record with a fourth straight game of scoring 50-plus points. They get a week off before their East Division showdown with third-ranked Penn State.
MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — Kenny Hill threw for 297 yards and ran for a touchdown as No. 6 TCU beat Kansas State 26-6. The Horned Frogs’ defense shut down the Wildcats’ ailing offense, which played without injured quarterback Jesse Ertz. TCU also handled a pair of weather delays, one that pushed back the start by 3 hours and another in the fourth quarter.
The Atlantic boys Cross Country team had a third place finish as a team at the Missouri Valley Cross Country Meet Saturday with 86 points. Tri-Center took home the 1st place honors with 50 points, followed by Missouri Valley (80 points), Atlantic (86-pts), Woodine (90 pts) and IKM/Manning (93 pts) in the top five.
Tri-Center placed five runner’s in the top fifteen in capturing the boy’s team title. Individual best performances include 1st place – Jordan Hustak, of Missouri Valley,; 2nd place – Justin Ambrose of Boyer Valley; 3rd place – Jalen Petersen of Atlantic, who finished a time of 18:25; 4th place went to Gage Graeve of Missouri Valley, and in fifth was Dalton Fischer, from AHSTW.

The Atlantic girls Cross County team took home the title following a meet held in Missouri Valley, Saturday. The had four runners in the top ten, netting them 41 points for first place. Logan-Magnolia was second with 65 points, followed by AHSTW in third with 86 points, Tri-Center was fourth with 93 team points, and Missouri Valley placed fifth with 178 points.
Other team scores include: Riverside, 180; Boyer Valley, 209; West Harrison, 225. Among the other teams competing was East Mills, IKM/Manning, Whiting, and Woodbine.
