IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Miles Bridges had 25 points and a crucial steal with five seconds left and fourth-ranked Michigan State rallied past lowly Iowa 96-93 on Tuesday for its seventh straight win. Nick Ward added 17 points and Joshua Langford had 15 for the Spartans (23-3, 11-2 Big Ten), who got a serious scare from the Hawkeyes in what was supposed to be a tune-up for Saturday’s huge home game against No. 3 Purdue.

After Regional Team Dual action on Tuesday the State Dual Team brackets were set for Classes 1A and 2A.

The Atlantic-CAM Wrestling squad fell in the Semifinals of the Regional Dual Team competition at Ballard on Tuesday night. The Trojans fell to South Tama County 36-30 in the semifinal match. South Tama County moved on to face host Ballard in the Final. Ballard defeated Van Meter-Earlham 42-33 in the other semifinal.

AHSTW offensive lineman AJ Sieh announced via social media on Monday that he will continue his football and academic career at Northwest Missouri State. Sieh said on twitter: “I’m excited to announce that I will continue my academic and athletic career at NWMSU. Thank you to all my friends, family, and coaches for everything and helping get to where I am today. #bearcats”

Sieh was a key piece of an 8-2 squad for the Vikings this past season.  The 6-5, 330 pound lineman helped AHSTW rush for 2,317 yards and 30 touchdowns last season.

Class 1A and 2A wrestling teams will compete in Regional Team Duals tonight around the state. Class 3A schools will compete in Regional Duals on Wednesday night. Here is a look at the sites hosting local squads Tuesday.
