Ohio State (19-9, 9-8 Big Ten) won for the fourth time in five games. Nebraska (7-21, 2-15) lost its 13th straight. Duane Washington Jr. made three straight 3s to open the game and finished with 14 points starting in place of the injured Kyle Young. Dachon Burke had 13 points and Cam Mack added 12 for the Cornhuskers.

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (AP) — Ted Simmons got his first closeup look at the Baseball Hall of Fame and was awestruck. He called his tour Thursday “totally overwhelming and humbling, to say the very least. You’re asking yourself every five seconds _ what on earth makes you feel as though you belong in this place?” Simmons was elected in December at age 70 and more than three decades after his last game in the major leagues, the first player to be picked for enshrinement after being on the writers’ ballot just one year. He’ll be inducted July 26 with Derek Jeter, Larry Walker and the late Marvin Miller, the former players’ association head.

UNDATED (AP) — There are two intriguing games in the Big 12 on Saturday that feature teams that are likely locks for the NCAA Tournament against teams that have some work to do. The second happens in Morgantown, where Oklahoma plays No. 20 West Virginia. UNDATED (AP) — Michigan State at Maryland highlights a strong slate of weekend matchups in the Big Ten as the conference race enters the closing stretch. The ninth-ranked Terrapins are 15-0 at home. They beat the Spartans 67-60 on the road two weeks ago. Maryland has a two-game lead on 24th-ranked Michigan State with three games left in the regular season. Illinois, Penn State and Wisconsin are in a four-way tie for second place with the Spartans. The Terrapins haven’t finished first in conference play since tying Duke for first place when they were still in the ACC in 2009-10.

NORMAL, Ill. (AP) — Tete Maggett scored 24 points, Lexi Wallen added 18 and Illinois State made five of its seven 3-pointers in the fourth quarter en route to a 78-66 upset of No. 21 Missouri State. The Redbirds, who finished 7 of 12 behind the arc, were 5 for 5 in the fourth quarter with Maggett knocking down three and Mary Crompton two. Missouri State, which shot 40% or better in 22 games this season, finished at 35% and was 1 of 14 behind the arc in the second half. Brice Calip scored 19 points for the Bears.

BOTTOM LINE: Oklahoma State seeks revenge on Iowa State after dropping the first matchup in Ames. The teams last faced each other on Jan. 21, when the Cyclones outshot Oklahoma State from the field 51 percent to 42 percent and hit 14 more foul shots on the way to an 89-82 victory.

VETERAN PRESENCE: Senior leadership has been on display for both teams this year. Cameron McGriff, Isaac Likekele, Lindy Waters III and Thomas Dziagwa have combined to account for 59 percent of Oklahoma State’s scoring this season. For Iowa State, Solomon Young, Prentiss Nixon and Michael Jacobson have collectively scored 36 percent of the team’s points this season.TERRIFIC TYRESE: Tyrese Haliburton has connected on 41.9 percent of the 124 3-pointers he’s attempted. He’s also made 82.2 percent of his foul shots this season.

WINLESS WHEN: Iowa State is 0-7 when scoring fewer than 61 points and 12-9 when scoring at least 61.

STREAK STATS: Iowa State has dropped its last nine road games, scoring 66.3 points and allowing 78.9 points during those contests. Oklahoma State has won its last three home games, scoring an average of 76 points while giving up 64.3.

The CAM Cougars fought like crazy all night but came up short to Martensdale-St. Marys 69-61 in the Class 1A District 14 Final in Stuart on Thursday. CAM fell behind at the end of the first 22-14, and were down by 12 early in the second period. The Cougars clawed their way back in with a 14-0 run to grab a momentary lead before Martensdale grabbed a one point edge at half 31-30. It was a two point game by the end of the third and then the Blue Devils outscored the Cougars 24-18 in the fourth to grab the win.

CAM hit six threes in the opening half, taking advantage of some open looks, but they would only hit three more the rest of the game and two of those came from Ethan Arp late as the Cougars tried to get back in it. CAM worked hard against a much larger Blue Devils squad and Coach Nick Hodges was proud of the way they played.

It was another balanced scoring output for the Cougars with 4 players finishing in double-figures. Nathan Hensley finished with 14, Ben Tibken 13, Jacob Holste 11, and Ethan Arp 10. The Cougars finished the season with a 19-5 record and lose some important seniors. Coach Hodges said they’ve been a great group.

Martensdale-St. Marys also had four double-figure scorers on the night with Jack Franey leading the team with 21. Isaac Gavin had 17, Hogan Franey 16, and Trey Baker added 12. The Blue Devils improved to 22-3 and will move on to the 1A Substate 7 Final on Saturday night against Mount Ayr in Creston at 7:00 p.m.
