Jim Field visits with Dave Highfill about “Operation Christmas Child.” Here are the details:

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox will begin on November 15th. This collection is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, with the Billy Graham organization. Shoeboxes are delivered around the world to needy children. Articles that may be included in the boxes are – small stuffed animals, deflated soccer ball with pump, pencils, small notebooks, jump ropes, tooth brushes and school supplies to name a few. Shoeboxes should include a $9 shipping donation per box. Collection will be from November 15th-22nd at Gracepoint Church in Atlantic located at 1 East 22nd Street. Collections times: November 15th from 5-7 pm; November 16th from 6-8 pm; November 17th from 1-3 pm; November 18th from 6-8 pm; November 19th from 4-6 pm; November 20th from 10 am – noon; November 21st from 1-3 pm and November 22nd from 9-11 am. Shoeboxes can be dropped off curbside or brought inside. Also available this year is Build-A-Box online at SamaritanPurse.org/OCC. Cash donations are also accepted.
