...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR CASS AND WESTERN ADAIR
COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 245 AM CDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However gusty
winds and heavy rain are still likely with this thunderstorm.

...Strong Winds and Heavy Rain in Southwest Iowa...

At 223 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles east of Elliott to near Villisca to
near Blanchard. Movement was east at 30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Creston, Mount Ayr, Corning, Bedford, Lenox, Green Valley Lake, Lake
Icaria, New Market, Clearfield, Diagonal, Prescott, Blockton,
Gravity, Nodaway, Cromwell, Arispe, Sharpsburg, Redding, Shannon City
and Kent.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM CDT
FOR CASS AND WESTERN ADAIR COUNTIES...

At 205 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Atlantic,
moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. However, at 155 AM, the Atlantic Airport
         measured a wind gust of 66 mph. At 203 AM, public report of
         power out in Atlantic.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Atlantic, Griswold, Anita, Adair, Fontanelle, Lewis, Massena,
Cumberland, Bridgewater, Marne, Wiota, Lake Anita State Park, Nodaway
Park, Griswold Park, Cold Springs State Park, Atlantic Municipal
Airport and Anita Municipal Airport.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 50 and 84.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

* At 153 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Atlantic,
  moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...

At 111 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Shelby to 4 miles southwest of Malvern to
Lorton. Movement was east at 30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Eastern Council Bluffs, Nebraska City, Plattsmouth, Red Oak,
Glenwood, Shenandoah, Syracuse, Oakland, Avoca, Hamburg, Malvern,
Sidney, Treynor, Underwood, Carson, Essex, Walnut, Shelby, Minden
and Farragut.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
southwestern Iowa...and southeastern Nebraska.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR MONONA...HARRISON AND WESTERN
SHELBY COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 100 AM CDT...

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened  and no longer
pose an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning
will be allowed to expire.  However gusty winds up to 40 mph are
still possible with these thunderstorms as they move through the
area early this morning.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
southwestern and west central Iowa.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 100 AM CDT
FOR MILLS...SOUTHERN POTTAWATTAMIE...NORTHEASTERN SARPY AND
NORTHEASTERN CASS COUNTIES...

At 1254 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Underwood to near Pacific Junction, moving east
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters have reported tree damage
         in several parts of Omaha.

  Harrison County in southwestern Iowa...
  Western Shelby County in southwestern Iowa...

* Until 100 AM CDT.

* At 1218 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Smithland to Modale, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. This line of storms has a history of
           60 to 70 mph winds and some tree and power line damage.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Onawa, Logan, Earling, Mondamin, Ute, Persia, Modale, Pisgah,
  Moorhead, Woodbine, Mapleton, Dunlap, Blencoe, Panama, Portsmouth,
  Magnolia, Soldier, Little Sioux, Castana and Turin.

* At 1218 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Smithland to Modale, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. This line of storms has a history of
