Iowa State will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday when the sixth ranked Cyclones host Arizona State to close the regular season. ISU is 11-6 in the Big 12 and 24-6 overall after losses to Texas Tech and second ranked Arizona. ISU coach T.J. Otzelberger.
Otzelbeger says Senior Day at Iowa State is always emotional for all the players.
Otzelberger says there are things to clean up but the loss at Arizona was not due to a lack of effort.
One of the seniors is Ames native Tamin Lipsey, who talks about handling the emotions of the day.
Lipsey says the first Iowa State game he attended was against Michigan back in 2013.
Lipsey says as the regular season comes to a close the sense of urgency is rising.
Arizona State is 7-10 in the Big 12 and 16-14 overall. Cyclone junior forward Blake Buchanan says like Arizona, the Sun Devils feature a lot of size along the front line.
