Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office investigates alleged threat to the AC/GC High School

(Guthrie Center, IA) – The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office reported today (Monday) on social media, that they had been made aware of a reported threat involving AC/GC High School. The Sheriff’s Office said their “Deputies responded immediately and are actively investigating the situation.
“At this time,” they said, “there is no indication of an active threat inside the building. As a precaution, the school has implemented a lockout, and additional law enforcement presence has been established on and around school property.
“The safety of students, staff, and the community is our highest priority. We are working closely with AC/GC Administration and will continue to assess the situation thoroughly. We understand concerns in situations like this and ask for patience as we complete our investigation. Updates will be provided as appropriate.”
