2026 Griswold Girls Basketball Finish with Winning Record and Home Playoff Victory

The Griswold Tigers Girls 2026 season included not only a winning record, but a regional tournament win at home. They won 7 of their last 9 games, and defeated Diagonal 41-37 in the first round of the Class 1A Regional tournament. The Tigers were led in scoring by junior Amanda Houser who averaged 12 ppg and also led the team in rebounding. It was the growth of this team from game one to their final game that allowed them to finish the season strong. Coach Aaron Houser is most proud of how the Tigers learned to play in crunch time as the season went on.
Their regional win against Diagonal included multiple comebacks and clutch shots that embodied everything Coach Houser preached to his team throughout the year:
This season, Josie Millikan was the lone senior, however her impact on the program will be felt for years to come:
Coach Houser is making sure to celebrate the victories and success Griswold saw this year because of the work it took to get to this point:
This season showed a lot of what the Tigers can be going into 2027. They will be returning all but one player and are looking to be competitive yet again:
The 2026 Griswold Tigers Girls finished 12-11 and won a dramatic home playoff game over Diagonal. They head into 2027 retaining their top three scorers and will look to again be one of the more competitive teams in the Corner Conference.
