The fifth ranked Iowa State men will play their third straight ranked opponent on Saturday when they visit 23rd ranked BYU. The Cyclones are 10-3 in the Big 12 after home wins over Kansas and Houston. BYU is 7-6 in conference play after a 75-68 loss at fourth ranked Arizona. It was the Cougars first game without star guard Richie Saunders. He is out for the season after suffering an ACL injury.

That’s ISU coach T.J. Otzelberger, who says BYU’s style of play is essentially the same without Saunders in the lineup.

Otzelberger says the Cougars remain potent on offense. Freshman A.J. Dybantsa averages nearly 25 points per game.

Otzelberger says BYU will be tough to guard.

Iowa State freshman guard Jamarion Batemon says even with a key injury BYU remains dangerous.

BYU beat the Cyclones twice last season.
