Healthy Cass and Volunteer Iowa Announce $4,000 Capacity-Building Opportunity for Cass County Organizations

Atlantic, Iowa — Healthy Cass and Volunteer Iowa are excited to announce a new opportunity for Cass County nonprofits, schools, government agencies, and community groups to strengthen their impact through funding, training, and hands-on support.
Eligible organizations can apply to receive $4,000 in funding, along with structured training and coaching support, culminating in a countywide Day of Service designed to increase visibility and community engagement.
This initiative is designed to help organizations build long-term capacity while turning funding into meaningful community impact.
What Selected Organizations Receive:
  • $4,000 in direct funding support
  • 12 hours of required in-person training (minimum of two team members)
  • Optional one-on-one coaching with Healthy Cass and Volunteer Iowa
  • Support planning and hosting a local Day of Service (held between August and September 30, around September 11)
  • Increased organizational visibility and strengthened community partnerships
The program focuses on building sustainable volunteer infrastructure, enhancing collaboration, and expanding each organization’s ability to serve Cass County residents effectively.
Important Dates:
  • Application Deadline: April 1, 2026 at noon
  • Training Sessions: 12 hours (in-person; minimum two participants per organization)
  • Day of Service Window: August–September 30, 2026
