Two former Iowa college stars look to help Seattle win a second Super Bowl title on Sunday when the Seahawks play the New England Patriots in Santa Clara, California. Mason Richman was a four-year starter at tackle at Iowa and will close his rookie season in football’s biggest game. He is listed as the backup at right tackle for the Seahawks.
Richman talks about the impact playing at Iowa had on his career.
Richman on what he learned playing for Kirk Ferentz.
Former Drake All-American Eric Saubert is listed as the third string tight end for the Seahawks. He will make his first appearance in the Super Bowl after stops with numerous teams.
Saubert has played or been on the practice squad for 11 different teams. He knows Levi’s Stadium well having spent last season as a member of the San Francisco 49ers.
Saubert is a rarity in the NFL, a product of an FCS non-Scholarship program. He feels his time at Drake prepared him to carve out a spot at the highest level.
