Iowa’s defense stiffened in the second half as the Hawkeyes claimed another road win, Wednesday night. The Hawks limited Washington to 26 second half points in an 84-74 victory in Seattle. The Huskies had made 20-of-26 shots in the opening half and led 48-41 at the break.

That’s Iowa coach Ben McCollum who says the Hawkeyes picked it up defensively in the second half.

Bennett Stirtz had 22 points and the Hawkeyes shot 60 percent for the game to win their fifth straight and their third straight on the road.
