No. 8 Iowa women suffer first B1G loss

A bad start was too much to overcome, Thursday night, as the eighth ranked Iowa women suffered their first Big Ten loss. USC raced out to a 28-13 lead at the end of one and beat the Hawkeyes 81-69.
That’s Iowa coach Jan Jensen. The Hawkeyes trimmed an 18-point deficit to three in third quarter but USC followed with an 11-0 run and it was never close after that as Iowa falls to 9-1 in the Big Ten heading into Sunday’s game at third ranked UCLA.
