The Tri-Center Football team has completed their first season in Class 1A with a 4-5 record and a first-round playoff loss to Ridge View 45-27. Head Coach Steve Peterson said there was a challenge in the move to 1A with a smaller roster than most schools the team faced.

The injury bug got to the Trojans as well early in the season.

The Trojans had an up and down regular season but were led by Junior AJ Harder who threw for his second consecutive 2,000+ yard season. His number one target was Senior Zach Nelson, who led the team with over 1,000 receiving yards and a team high 11 touchdowns. A quarterback/wide receiver duo that grew a tremendous amount of strength in Peterson’s eyes in their second season together.

Leading rusher, Junior Adan Goldapp was deciding to even go out for the team this fall but Peterson and his coaching staff were extremely glad he decided to play.

The Trojans have a numerous starters coming back next season.

With a year in Class 1A under their belt, Tri-Center is going to feel even more confident heading into 2026.
