Stuart, Iowa – On November 3, 2025, officers from the Stuart Police Department arrested Robert Dean Dillinger, 50, of Des Moines, on active arrest warrants related to a stalking investigation involving a Stuart resident.

Stuart Police officers located Dillinger at the Fort Des Moines Residential Facility and took him into custody without incident. The arrest followed an investigation by Stuart Police into allegations that Dillinger had been attempting to contact a protected party in violation of a court-issued no-contact order.

Following the arrest, Stuart Police executed a search warrant on Dillinger’s vehicle in Des Moines as part of the ongoing investigation. Dillinger was then transported to the Guthrie County Jail, where he was booked shortly after 12:00 a.m. on the following charges:

• Iowa Code 708.11(3)(a)(1) – Stalking (Class C Felony)

• Iowa Code 664A.7(5) – Violation of a No-Contact Order
