The Southwest Valley Football team finished its 2025 season at 3-5. A season filled with various lineups and unprecedented injuries. Despite the adversity the Timberwolves faced, Head Coach Keegan Longabaugh was proud of the way his team had the “next man up” mindset.

Senior Wyatt Mendenhall was hurt midway through the season, meaning Sophomore Wyatt Shires handled the quarterback duties on the back half of the season. Shires threw for 502 yards and threw for three touchdowns. On the ground game, Senior Cael Hogan led the way with 292 yards and three touchdowns. Hogan was a piece of an extremely hardworking class in the eyes of Longabaugh and the rest of his staff.

Southwest Valley had a season-opening win at Red Oak, a win at Central Decatur and a 42-0 shutout victory at home against Nodaway Valley. Longabaugh hopes to improve in the offseason with the young group that saw meaningful snaps this season.
