CAM Looks For Homecoming Win against Exira-EHK
October 3rd, 2025 by Jack McGonigal
It’s the annual homecoming game for the CAM Cougars as they host a familiar foe in the Exira-EHK Spartans. The Cougars come off a come from behind 54-46 win against Glidden-Ralston and Head Coach Nick Kauffman says playing a lot cleaner and complex in the second half was crucial.
CAM threw for a season-high 206 yards in the win last week. Kauffman says Sophomore Zach Kauffman is maturing week by week in the quarterback role.
In the backfield, Senior Collin Bower has run for 357 yards and ten touchdowns including a five-touchdown game against Bedford a few weeks ago.
Bower alongside Junior Kason Calhoun lead the defense with both players recording over 30 tackles in 2025. Kalhoun comes into week with 45 tackles and 38 of those are solo.
The Cougars know they have to be ready for Exira-EHK’s diverse playbook.
Kauffman says the key to victory for his team is limiting mistakes and playing their style of football. You can catch all the action on KJAN with pregame coverage at 6:30 pm. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 pm.
