ACGC Football Looks for Undefeated Regular Season
October 17th, 2025 by Jack McGonigal
The ACGC Football team is seeking to cap off their third consecutive perfect regular season when they go head-to-head with the Riverside Bulldogs Friday night in Guthrie Center. ACGC comes off a 42-14 road victory at AHSTW and Head Coach Cody Matthewson was extremely pleased with the effort last week.
ACGC has been a run-heavy team with over 2,200 yards on the ground this season including seven different players with at least 100 yards in 2025. This allows the Chargers to create a balanced rushing attack within the offense.
The Chargers are a dominantly senior-led team and that’s created a strong chemistry across all position groups.
On the defensive side of the ball, ACGC is led by Senior Xander Harwood with 37 tackles and 23 of them being solo ones. The defense has only allowed an astonishing 6.7 points per game.
Stopping the run will be critical for the Chargers to have success against Riverside.
ACGC and Riverside square off Friday with the winner being named district champion. You can catch all the action on KJAN with pregame coverage starting at 6:30 with Kickoff scheduled for 7 pm.
