UNI coach Todd Stepsis does not want his team to look at Utah Tech’s record as they prepare for this week’s road game. The Trailblazers are 0-3 but the losses have come to three rated foes in UC-Davis, Northern Arizona and Idaho.

Stepsis says the Panther players who were part of last year’s nine game losing streak know what the Utah Tech players have experienced.

Stepsis is confident the Panther players know they are facing a tough challenge.

The Panthers are 2-1 after a win over Eastern Washington and Stepsis says at first blush it appears to be an even match-up.

Stepsis feels good about the progress on offense. Quarterback Matthew Schecklman has passed for 680 yards and six touchdowns in three games.

Special teams remain a concern, especially the punt game. The Panthers have had punts blocked in the last two games.
