UNI coach Todd Stepsis says his team needs to get the run game going and cut down turnovers on Saturday when they host Eastern Washington. The Panthers only rushed for 59 yards and had two interceptions in a 31-7 loss at Wyoming.

ON the other side of the ball the Panther defense has given up more than 330 yards of rushing in the first two games.

Eastern Washington is 0-2 and the losses have come at Incarnate Word and at Boise State.

Stepsis the challenge for the UNI defense will be slowing down an Eastern Washington offense that relies heavily on the quarterback run.

Stepsis says good tackling will be key against an Eastern Washington offense that likes to spread the field.

Stepsis says the Panthers will need to do a better job of getting off blocks than they did at Wyoming.
