JOHN HESS, 79, of Persia, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at home. A Memorial service for JOHN HESS will be held 10-a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Logan (IA). Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Interment will be held at a later date.

His sons – Glen (Yvonne) Hess, of Albuquerque, NM; Rodney (Pam) Hess, of Ogden, UT; John W. Hess V (& wife Sandra), of Farr West, UT; Bradley (Wendi) Hess, of Bennington, NE; and Scott (Beth) Hess, of Kaysville, UT.

His brother – Edgar Hess, of Ogden, UT.

His 6 step-children: Phillip Renie, of Saratoga Springs, UT; Julie (Spencer) Hogue, of South SLC, UT; Jamie Bunday (& Mike Sanden), of Santa Rosa, CA; Andrea Moore, of Sandy, UT; Micky Fokken (& Megan), of Ft. Worth, TX; and Michael Fokken (& Abby), of Richmond, UT.

8 grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; His former spouse, Alene Park of Ogden, UT; and his niece.
