Boy hit and killed by motorcycle in Polk County

(Des Moines, Iowa) – A boy was struck and killed by a motorcycle late Saturday night, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were called 4950 Northeast 29th Street in Des Moines around 11 p.m. for a report of a motorcycle versus pedestrian accident.
When deputies got there, they began lifesaving measures, including CPR, on a male juvenile who had been struck by a motorcycle while crossing the roadway. The juvenile was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died. The driver of the motorcycle was also taken to the hospital.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating. This story will be updated as more information is released by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
