Southwest Valley Football Looks to Grow in 2025

August 10th, 2025 by Jack McGonigal

The Southwest Valley football team is anticipating the start of the 2025 season and Head Coach Keegan Longabaugh says the summer work ethic from the team has been fantastic.

After all the conditioning, Longabaugh says the boys are ready to put the helmets and shoulder pads on.

The Timberwolves have won just three games in the last two seasons but are looking to grow with a core playmaking group returning.

Senior Wyatt Mendenhall threw for over 400 yards and ran for over 600 yards a season ago and the coaching staff looks for him to lead by example and vocally.

Longabaugh says this upcoming year for Southwest Valley is a day-by-day mentality.

The Timberwolves lone win a season ago was against Red Oak and will seek to begin 1-0 for a fourth consecutive season Friday, August 29th.
