Travis Johansen will debut as the head football coach at South Dakota on Saturday when the Coyotes visit 22nd ranked Iowa State. Johansen spent the past six seasons as defensive coordinator and takes over a program that made it to the semifinal round of the FCS playoffs last season.

Johansen says they are not going to Ames with the hopes of making a good showing.

South Dakota is led by senior quarterback Aidan Bouman. He began his college career at Iowa State.
