New Iowa State receivers look to fill void
August 7th, 2025 by Ric Hanson
Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht likes the potential of the Cyclone receivers despite some key losses last season. Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins are both with the Houston Texans after combining for 167 receptions for more than 23 hundred yards and 18 touchdowns for a team that finished 11-3.
Becht says a big plus is experience at running back and the offensive line.
One of the new receivers looking to contribute is junior Chase Sowell. He had 81 catches the last two season while playing at East Carolina.
Sowell believes the receiving corps will have depth.
The Cyclones open August 23rd in Dublin, Ireland, against Kansas State.
