Iowa State will take a 2-0 record into Saturday’s 72nd meeting against Iowa. The Cyclones rolled to a 55-7 win over South Dakota in their home opener and coach Matt Campbell was pleased with the improvement he saw over a season opening win over Kansas State.

The emotions will be high leading up to Saturday’s game.

Campbell has been impressed with the consistency of effort so far this season.

The Cyclones will be in search of their second straight win in the series after a 20-19 victory in Iowa city last year but their last win over the Hawkeyes in Ames was a 44-41 triple overtime victory back in 2011.
