Glenwood Strikes Early, Rolls to Win Over Atlantic
August 29th, 2025 by Chris Parks
The Glenwood Rams scored on a 74-yard touchdown pass from Ben Carlo to Kaden Crouch on the second play of the game and never looked back in a 32-7 win over Atlantic in both teams 2025 season opener.
Atlantic played a mistake prone game, turning over the ball 7 times and committing over 10 penalties. The Rams took advantage of those mistakes and dominated time of possession in the contest.
The Rams expected to use a two-quarterback system but Ben Carlo took control of the snaps with a solid outing, throwing for three scores on the night. Jack Johnson and Ethan Eisman were the other two recipients of Carlo’s touchdown tosses.
Glenwood built a 26-0 halftime lead and the Trojans didn’t get on the board until a 33-yard touchdown run by Landon Hagen late in the fourth quarter.
Aaron Christian had a big night with three field goal makes. Christian booted kicks from 39, 35, and 43 yards to bolster the Rams’ victory.
Glenwood moves to 1-0 on the season and will travel to face the Harlan Cyclones next Friday night.
Atlantic drops to 0-1 and will try to bounce back next week with a trip to face Denison-Schleswig. Christian Adams and Jack McGonigal will have the call of that one on KJAN and KJANTV with pregame at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff at 7:00 p.m. next Friday night.
