The Atlantic Volleyball team has begun official practice and Head Coach Alyssa Boltz said she noticed lots of improvement in the summer and the team focused on building a team foundation the first week.

The Trojans come off a 7-25 season last year and graduated four seniors. Boltz says outside of the four seniors, there was minimal experience on the court.

Atlantic’s top returners include Senior Jaycee Reed who posted 84 kills in 2024 ranking second on the team. On the defensive side of the volleyball, Senior Taylee Hagen recorded 168 digs as well as Senior Zoey Kirchhoff leading the team last year with 24 service aces. Boltz emphasized the familiarity the players have one another across all sports believing that will make the team stronger.

The Trojans will play one regular season and then hit the road all day for a tournament on August 30th which Boltz believes is extremely beneficial.

Atlantic looks to improve in the 2025 season with much more experience on the court.
