Nebraska woman wanted in connection with a Council Bluffs serious injury accident

(Council Bluffs, Iowa) – Police accident investigators in Council Bluffs are asking for the public’s help in finding a Nebraska woman wanted on a warrant for Serious Injury by Vehicle-Reckless Driving. The warrant was issued following an investigation into a two-vehicle accident that occurred at around 11:08-a.m. March 30th in Council Bluffs. The collision happened at the intersection of N16th Street// Ave G.

Authorities says a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze driven by 71-year-old Jeffrey Sperry, of Council Bluffs, was traveling east on Ave G and entering the intersection, when his vehicle was struck by a southbound 2025 Honda CRV driven by 42-year-old Shayla Quach, of Omaha. Both drivers were transported to an area trauma center for their injuries.

An investigation determined Quach was traveling in excess of 80-mph in a posted 35-mph speed zone prior to the collision, and that she ran the red stop light, resulting in the crash.  Jeffrey Sperry suffered multiple serious injuries during the collision.

Shayla Quachs’ current whereabouts are unknown. Anyone with information on Ms. Quach’s location is urged to contact their local police department.
