MAXINE MARIE BOOK, 82, of Harlan, died Monday, July 7, 2025, at home. A Mass of Christian Burial for MAXINE BOOK will be held 11-a.m. Friday, July 11, 20225, at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan. Heartland Funeral home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation with the family will be held at the church on Friday, from 9:30-until 10:30-a.m.

Inurnment will take place at a later date.

The family wishes for memorials to be directed to St. Michael’s Guild or Hearts and Hands Sewing Group.

MAXINE BOOK is survived by:

Her husband – Ray Book, of Harlan.

Her daughters – Cathy (Vic) Robertson, of Brandt, SD; Michele (Jeff) Sundholm, Rosemary (Ron) Stitz, and Patricia (Bob) Brue, all of Harlan; and Debra (Paul) Campbell, of Hamlin.

Her brothers – Jerry (Nancy) Gaul of Albuquerque, NM, Bob (Joan) Gaul of Johnston, IA, and Bill (Sharon) Gaul of Tucson, AZ.

Her sisters – Mary (Rick) Huss, and Donna (Mike) Wright, of all Omaha, NE.

9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandsons; her step-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
