LOIS MARIE NELSON, 93, of Exira, died Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Exira Care Center. Funeral services for LOIS NELSON will be held 10:30-a.m. Friday, August 1st, 2025, at the Exira Event Center. Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Exira has the arrangements.

Visitation with the family will be held at the Exira Event Center on Friday, from 9:30-until 10:30-a.m..

Interment will take place at the Exira Cemetery. A luncheon will be held following the committal at the Exira Event Center.

Memorials may be directed to the Lois Nelson Family. They will be designated at a later date in her memory; they may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 201, Audubon, IA 50025.

Her daughters – Denise (Larry) Kendle, and Donna Hansen, all of Audubon.

Her son – David (Heather) Nelson, of Exira.

Her brother – Bernard (Barb) Christensen, of Audubon.

4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
