Iowa WR Jacob Gill previews the new season
July 10th, 2025 by Ric Hanson
Iowa senior Jacob Gill believes added experience at wide receiver will help boost the Hawkeye passing game this season. The former Northwestern transfer started all 13 games a year ago and led a passing attack that ranked at the bottom of the Big Ten with 35 receptions.
Gill says year number two under offensive coordinator Tim Lester is a plus.
Wide receiver has long been considered Iowa’s weakest position group but Gill likes the talent and depth in the room.
The Hawkeyes open the season at home on August 30th against the University of Albany.
