AMES, Iowa – Iowa State director of cross country Jeremy Sudbury announced the schedule for the highly anticipated 2025 cross country season on Tuesday. Following ISU’s meet in Ames, the Iowa State men and women will travel to the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia on September 26. The University of Missouri will also host the NCAA Championships in November. The Cyclones take another three-week break following their trip to Columbia before traveling to the Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison to wrap the regular season. A year ago, the Cyclone men were runners up at the event while Robin Kwemoi Bera was a top five individual finisher.
Iowa State begins the championship season with the Big 12 Championships in Lawrence on October 31. In 2024, the Cyclone men finished third behind top-rated Oklahoma State and eventual NCAA Champion BYU. Following the conference meet, the Cyclones travel to Stillwater for the second time in three years to compete at the NCAA Midwest Regional on November 14. The Iowa State men will look for their third-straight bid to the NCAA Championships while the women will seek their second in the last three seasons. The national championship meet is set to be held on November 22 in Columbia, Missouri.
