Hawkeyes Release 2025 Schedule

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa cross country released its 2025 schedule, it was announced by associate head coach of cross country Randy Hasenbank on Wednesday.

Iowa opens the season hosting the Hawkeye Invite on Friday, Sept. 5 at Ashton Cross Country Course in Iowa City. Three regular season meets follow the season opener, beginning with the Roy Griak Invite in Minneapolis on Sept. 19. This will be Iowa’s first trip to the Roy Griak meet since 2016.

The Hawkeyes travel to South Bend, Indiana, for the Joe Piane Invite on the campus of the University of Notre Dame for one of the premier meets in the country on Oct. 3. After a week off, Iowa will head to the Pre-Nationals meet in Columbia, Missouri, on Oct. 17.

Postseason competition begins on Oct. 31 with the Big Ten Cross Country Championships, hosted by Michigan State University in East Lansing. The 2025 NCAA Midwest Regional will be held in Stillwater, Oklahoma, at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course on Nov. 14. The NCAA Cross Country Championships will be contested at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia for the first time since it opened in 2019.
