July 10th, 2025 by Jack McGonigal

After a 1-10 start to the regular season for Atlantic Baseball, they have ended the season on a high note winning four of their last seven. They are set to take on Hawkeye Ten Rival, Harlan Friday in the first round of the Class 3A Substate Tournament. The Cyclones swept the Trojans in a doubleheader on June 2nd. Despite dropping both games, Head Coach Nathan Block believed his team were capable of winning both.

A third time around and the Trojans know what to expect.

Atlantic’s bats have been coming alive as of late. The Trojan offense has put up at least seven runs in five of their last seven games. The Trojan hitters are led by Junior Kale Jensen who is swinging a .444 batting average with a .571 on-base percentage and a team-leading four home runs. On the mound, the Trojans will look to a few different arms in the postseason.

The Trojans look for revenge in a rivalry Harlan leads 30-6 since 2009. First pitch is scheduled for 7 P.M. and will be available to stream on KJANTV.
