(Rural Clarke County, Iowa) – A man operating a UTV died, and a juvenile passenger was injured, when the UTV went out of control and rolled over late Sunday evening, southeast of Lorimor. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened at around 8:30-p.m., as the 2020 Polaris UTV being driven by 45-year-old Andrew James Neisemier, of Thayer, was traveling north on 110th Avenue from Oakwood Street.

The vehicle entered the east ditch and overturned, partially ejecting Neisemier, who died at the scene. The juvenile passenger was transported by helicopter to a hospital, for treatment of suspected injuries. The name of the juvenile was not released.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office.
