Missouri State Patrol: SW Iowa man injured in a motorcycle accident

(Grant City,  Missouri) – A man from southwest Iowa was injured in a motorcycle-vs-animal accident this (Saturday) morning, on U-S Highway 169 in Worth County, Missouri. According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, the unidentified 59-old man from Creston (IA), was traveling southbound at around 7:50-a.m. when an animal entered the roadway.

The 2008 Yamaha motorcycle the man was operating skidded in an attempt to avoid contact with the animal, but struck the creature before the cycle crossed the center line of the road and overturned off the east side of the road.  The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries, was treated at the scene and released.

The Worth County Sheriff’s Office assisted the patrol with the accident.
