June 25th, 2025 by Jack McGonigal
AMES, Iowa – Iowa State wrestling officially added a pair of 2025 All-American transfers, Stevo Poulin and Vinny Zerban, to the program, head coach Kevin Dresser announced Wednesday. Both Poulin and Zerban join the Cyclones from Northern Colorado and have one year of eligibility remaining.
With the addition of Poulin and Zerban, Iowa State now has seven wrestlers on its roster who have earned All-America status at some point in their career (Anthony Echemendia, Yonger Bastida, Evan Frost, Jacob Frost, Rocky Elam, Poulin, Zerban). It marks the first time since the 1982-83 season ISU has had at least seven All-Americans on the roster entering a season.
“We’re thrilled to add two high-impact transfers to our team in Stevo and Vinny,” Dresser said. “Both guys have found consistent success throughout their careers and will come to Ames ready to scrap. They will provide an immediate impact in our room and we can’t wait to get them settled in.”
Poulin and Zerban are Iowa State’s fourth and fifth transfer portal additions of the offseason. The Cyclones also added Rocky Elam (Missouri, 197), Isaac Dean (Rider, 184) and Melton Powe (Pratt CC, 174).
