CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – University of Iowa freshman Lily Huether has been named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for the 2024-25 season, it was announced Monday by the WGCA.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics.  To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team’s roster through the conclusion of the team’s season and have played in 50 percent of the college’s regular scheduled competitive rounds during the year through the team’s conference championship.

The WGCA recognized 1,499 women’s collegiate golfers from 403 programs.

During her first season in Iowa City, Huether competed in eight tournaments, posting a 78.05 scoring average over 20 rounds.  She posted the best finish of the season at the Nashville Invitational, where she tied for 20th place with a 226 (77-76-73) in helping the Hawkeyes to the team tournament title.
