June 12th, 2025 by Jack McGonigal
The Griswold softball team improved to 10-0 on the season after beating East Mills 16-0 in four innings Thursday night. Discipline was the key for the Tiger hitters as they were able to draw 14 walks in the game along with the five tacked on. Griswold Head Coach Jody Rossell was appreciative of the patient at-bats.
The Tigers drew seven free passes in the first inning to go with a double by Sophomore Courtney Follman and a single by Senior Addison Adams. The first inning double was the first of two doubles for Follman.
In the circle, Sophomore Sadie Gohlinghorst pitched a gem for the Tigers. In the four innings of work, she struck out five, walked nobody, and allowed just three hits.
Griswold now at 10-0, Rossell believes the confidence and comradery is only building.
The Tigers are at home against Bedford Friday night.
