Griswold Baseball Growing Confidence as Season Continues
June 19th, 2025 by Jack McGonigal
The Griswold baseball team is gaining strength and confidence as the season progresses. The Tigers are 5-11-1 on the season and still looking to hit their stride.
Griswold is led by their upperclassmen mainly with a combination of four juniors and senior starters hitting above .300.
Head Coach Ryan Lockwood says he is appreciative of the drive and work ethic his team has put in so far.
In the five games the Tigers have won, they have held opponents to five runs or less. One of the young pitchers on the roster, Sophomore Cavyn Turner has an earned run average under three and just one walk in nine innings pitched.
The Tigers begin Corner Conference Tournament play next week with two regular season games to follow to close out the regular season.
