The Riverside Boys Track team after two first-place finishes and a runner-up finish in the last few weeks. The Bulldogs were crowned champions at the Lenox COED Meet and the Griswold relays last week. Head Coach Alex Oliver says winning the Griswold meet was a major confidence booster and a sign of his team not giving up.

The Bulldogs have been able to score points in all areas this season, making Riverside difficult team to compete against.

Sophomore Cole Jeppeson and Jaxson Gordon have placed in multiple events in just about every meet this season. Gordon, a returning state medalist, has his eyes on getting back to the state meet, along with more hardware at the meets still on the schedule.

Oliver says the team’s competitive drive may be higher in practice compared to outside competition.

The Bulldogs are hitting their stride at the right time with the state qualifying meet only one week out.
