RICHARD LEE PETERSEN, 74, of Sioux Falls, SD (& formerly of the Irwin & Aurelia areas), died March 11, 2025 at the Sanford/USD Medical Center. Graveside services for RICHARD PETERSEN will be held 10:30-a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Irwin. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Memorials in his name may be directed to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

His wife – Mavis Petersen, of Sioux Falls, SD.

His sons – Eric Petersen, Christopher Petersen, Bryce Petersen, and Bryan Petersen.

His sisters – Connie Davis, of Des Moines, IA, and Donna (Lorren) Hollister, of Council Bluffs.

2 grandchildren, step-children and step-grandchildren, other relatives, and his good friend Devin Draper of Omaha, Nebraska.
