Late season collapse costly for Iowa baseball

A late season faded burst the bubble of the Iowa Hawkeye baseball team. The Hawkeyes were eliminated in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament in Omaha with a 9-3 loss to UCLA on Saturday. Three weeks ago the Hawkeyes were considered a virtual lock for the NCAA Tournament before winning only two of their final 13 games.
That’s Iowa coach Rick Heller. The Hawkeyes entered the season with low expectations before winning their first eight Big Ten series.
Heller never saw the collapse coming.
Heller says Iowa’s slump came at the wrong time.
The Hawkeyes end the season with a record of 33-22-1.
