The Iowa State women’s golf team will take part in the NCAA Championships beginning Friday in Carlsbad, California. Coach Christie Martens is leading the Cyclones to the championships for the second time program history after a third place finish in a regional in Lubbock, Texas.

Martens says the Cyclones have made a lot of progress since the start of last fall’s season.

Martens says the Cyclones biggest area of progress has been in the short game and putting.

It’s Iowa State first trip to the NCAA Championships since 2014.
