Hawkeyes Add Price Loposer

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Mississippi State transfer Price Loposer has signed a scholarship agreement with the University of Iowa women’s soccer program, it was announced Wednesday by head coach Dave DiIanni.
“We’re super excited to add a player and person of Price’s caliber,” said assistant coach Kyle Venter. “A four-year SEC starter who was a vital piece in the defensive record and her team’s run to the Sweet 16 last season. Price will bring a presence and tenacity that will fit in very well with our group. We look forward to welcoming her to Iowa City and seeing her on the field in the fall in the Black and Gold.”
The Madison, Miss. native has amassed 6,164 career minutes scoring three goals and tallying two assists. Loposer has played in 78 games earning 68 careers starts. Last season at Mississippi State Loposer played in 22 games, starting the last 13 games of the season. She tallied 1, 414 minutes on the season, including eight appearances with 90+ minutes.
Loposer, a key defender for the Bulldogs, helped the Mississippi State defense allow just 10 goals on the season. Their goals against average of .452 was the second lowest in the nation. The Bulldogs posted a shutout in 16 of their 22 games, for a shutout percentage of .727. Their 16 shutouts tied for the most in the national while their shutout percentage finished second in the nation.
Mississippi State posted a 19-3 overall record in 2024 including a perfect 10-0 conference record. They advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Notre Dame.
Loposer comes to the Hawkeyes as a graduate student. Loposer played her first three seasons at Ole Miss before spending one year at UCF where she did not see game action. Loposer then played a season at Mississippi State prior to committing to the Hawkeyes.
