The Griswold Girls Track & Field team has taken third place or better in the last four meets they have run in and are hitting their peak at the right time according to Head Coach Rachel Larsen. The Tigers are coming off a runner-up finish at the Corner Conference meet scoring 135 points. Larsen says her team competed with some of the best at a high level.

Larsen believes her team’s strength is the way the Tigers perform in the hurdles and has put a big emphasis on scoring in those individual races.

The duo of Sophomore Carsyn Adams and Senior Addison Adams clocked in at third and fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in the conference meet this week but can run in about any event you put them in.

Larsen says there is a lot of training during track season outside of crossing the finish line quicker.

The Tigers have goals set on being represented at the state meet and feel privileged they get to host the state qualifying meet.

The district meet will be the sixth competition Griswold hosts this spring and are taking advantage of every opportunity.
